Pradhan Mantri KIsan SAmman Nidhi (PM-KISAN) is an income support scheme by the Government of India (GoI) in which small and marginal farmers get up to Rs 6,000 per year to supplement their financial needs.

Using government data, this brief reports on trends in
PM-KISAN along the following parameters:
■ Trends in allocations and
releases;
■ Receipt of funds by
beneficiaries;
■ Status of coverage.
