Nirmal Bharat Abhiyan (NBA) previously called the Total Sanitation Campaign (TSC) is the Government of India’s (GOI) flagship programme for providing access to rural sanitation facilities.

Using government data, this brief reports on trends for the NBA along the following parameters:

• Allocations and expenditure
• Physical progress of toilets built
• Progress on Open Defecation Free Gram Panchayats (GPs).
